11 weeks down 29 more to go!!! Sounds like a long time but I am almost done with my first trimester and I am so excited. I am starting to feel a little better and becoming my old self again. We had our first ultrasound a few weeks ago and it was so cool to see the baby and hear its heartbeat. The heartbeat was 160 and everything looks great so far. Some people say fast heartbeats means we're having a boy and some say it means we are having a girl so I don't know who to believe. But I guess we'll find out in 8-10 more weeks and we can't wait! It's going to be so much easier knowing what the baby is because then we can actually start buying stuff and planning for our little one. I've already started getting a little nervous about delivery and it's still a while away, but I'm scared. Oh well I guess I am going to have to deal with it whether I like it or not. So that's the baby update for now. And we want to know what you think...BOY? or GIRL?

everythings changing
Well many things have changed since the last time I've posted, first, Mike got laid off which was a huge shock and came at the worst time. Before he got laid off we we about to close on the house of our dreams and were not able to buy it because of the lose of his job, so that was a bummer. Although the good thing that came out of it was that the we were able to rent the house we were going to buy and we will be able to live here until we can buy the house. So Mike has been on the job search and he has been looking for anything and everything. Ironically we were at the new Red Robin in town having lunch and I suggested that he apply there for fun just to see so he did, they gave him and interview right then, and had him start an hour and a half later! So he found a job! YEA!!!! Its not a great job but it is something. Baby status, the baby is doing great I think...ha ha...I have been feeling pretty good except for the fact that I have had a cold for the past 2 months, seriously it seems like it has been forever. Although other than that it seems to be going really good. I also got another job working in the mornings at an elementary school as an aide for a special needs students. Its a pretty good job but I wish I didn't have to work in the mornings cause it is really hard to get up in the mornings. Anyways, that's the update for now, check in later for more baby info!

Little Lainhart on the way!!!
Well we're having a BABY!!!! We are really excited! We can't wait to bring our baby into the world, it is such a blessing to have the opportunity to be parents and we are so grateful for the wonderful little baby on its way. The baby is due sometime in September and I am about 6 weeks along give or take a few days and for the most part I have been feeling fine. I have been really really tired but that is about it. We have our first doctor visit on February 11th and we can't wait to hear the babies heartbeat. Well we will keep you updated, and any moms or pregnant people I could use any advice you have for me cause I don't really know what I am doing or what to expect. Thanks!

Christmas with the Lainharts
Well our very first Christmas together was a success! For Christmas this year I got a husband, puppy(Monty), a house, money, food storage, some clothes, and many more things. Mike along with a house and puppy got some clothes, a big screen TV, gift cards, and to go snowboarding for the first time! We had a blast spending time with my family in California, the only bummer being that we didn't get to see his family. So here are so pictures of our adventures. Enjoy!!!

2 months
Mike and I have officially been married for two months today. The past two months with him have been amazing. I don't think a person really realizes how much they love someone else until they are married to them. Mike is the best husband and friend. He treats me like a princess and wants nothing more than to make sure that we are safe and provided for.
I'm so thankful I have him in my life.

CHRISTMAS
I am obsessed with Christmas. I don't know what it is but growing up Christmas was a really important holiday in our family. And I would love to keep that tradition going with my new little family consisting of Mike and I so far. Mike doesn't seem to be as into Christmas as I am yet he still plays along and helps me with the decorations and other stuff. So we decided to get a fake Christmas tree and decorate it with in all silver, blue, and white. Mike doesn't really understand why I wanted to jeep a "theme" of colors but when he goes to my parents house for Christmas I think he'll get it. I personally think it looks beautiful. Growing up we always had real tress but Mike and I decided it would be cheaper and easier to buy a fake one that we could keep for a while. So here it is...It looks better lit up.
So I think it is very important to have some Christmas traditions that you do each year so here are a few ideas that we did in my family and some that I would like to start up...
*new pajamas- "santa" always left new pj's in our bedrooms so when we woke up christmas morning we could wear them to open presents in
*read the story of Jesus's birth in the scriptures
*christmas caroling
*baking christmas cooking
*christmas ornaments- every year my mom would get us and ornament the desplayed what we did or accomplished that year. For example in 2003 I graduated from high school so my mom gave me a grauation ornament that year.
*cookies for santa
*letters to santa
*christmas music
*christmas movies
*12 Days of Christmas
