2 months

Mike and I have officially been married for two months today. The past two months with him have been amazing. I don't think a person really realizes how much they love someone else until they are married to them. Mike is the best husband and friend. He treats me like a princess and wants nothing more than to make sure that we are safe and provided for.
I'm so thankful I have him in my life.

CHRISTMAS
I am obsessed with Christmas. I don't know what it is but growing up Christmas was a really important holiday in our family. And I would love to keep that tradition going with my new little family consisting of Mike and I so far. Mike doesn't seem to be as into Christmas as I am yet he still plays along and helps me with the decorations and other stuff. So we decided to get a fake Christmas tree and decorate it with in all silver, blue, and white. Mike doesn't really understand why I wanted to jeep a "theme" of colors but when he goes to my parents house for Christmas I think he'll get it. I personally think it looks beautiful. Growing up we always had real tress but Mike and I decided it would be cheaper and easier to buy a fake one that we could keep for a while. So here it is...It looks better lit up.Traditions....
So I think it is very important to have some Christmas traditions that you do each year so here are a few ideas that we did in my family and some that I would like to start up...

*new pajamas- "santa" always left new pj's in our bedrooms so when we woke up christmas morning we could wear them to open presents in
*read the story of Jesus's birth in the scriptures
*christmas caroling
*baking christmas cooking
*christmas ornaments- every year my mom would get us and ornament the desplayed what we did or accomplished that year. For example in 2003 I graduated from high school so my mom gave me a grauation ornament that year.
*cookies for santa
*letters to santa
*christmas music
*christmas movies
*12 Days of Christmas

The kitchen...Mike is so proud be bought the table chairs for $6
And...the bathroom!

Thanksgiving Time...

Alright so I know it's been a while but sometimes I get lazy and there is no way in the world that Mike would blog anything so its up to me to catch everyone up on our lives. So for thanksgiving Mike and I spent our vacation with his family up in Star Valley It turned out to be really fun and we watched A LOT of movies, which I have learned is something the Lainharts have in common, they all love to watch movies. I would have to say the highlight of our trip was that Mike finally took me horse back riding! And when I say finally I mean finally, back when we were dating Mike promised me that he would take me but never did so I just dropped it thinking that he never really would take me, but he came through and took me and we had a blast.

This is me with my cute little horse!

Mike and I trotting down the street...

So overall thanksgiving was a success. Although I missed my family so much I had a lot of fun with his family!
