2 months

Mike and I have officially been married for two months today. The past two months with him have been amazing. I don't think a person really realizes how much they love someone else until they are married to them. Mike is the best husband and friend. He treats me like a princess and wants nothing more than to make sure that we are safe and provided for.
I'm so thankful I have him in my life.

CHRISTMAS
I am obsessed with Christmas. I don't know what it is but growing up Christmas was a really important holiday in our family. And I would love to keep that tradition going with my new little family consisting of Mike and I so far. Mike doesn't seem to be as into Christmas as I am yet he still plays along and helps me with the decorations and other stuff. So we decided to get a fake Christmas tree and decorate it with in all silver, blue, and white. Mike doesn't really understand why I wanted to jeep a "theme" of colors but when he goes to my parents house for Christmas I think he'll get it. I personally think it looks beautiful. Growing up we always had real tress but Mike and I decided it would be cheaper and easier to buy a fake one that we could keep for a while. So here it is...It looks better lit up.Traditions....
So I think it is very important to have some Christmas traditions that you do each year so here are a few ideas that we did in my family and some that I would like to start up...

*new pajamas- "santa" always left new pj's in our bedrooms so when we woke up christmas morning we could wear them to open presents in
*read the story of Jesus's birth in the scriptures
*christmas caroling
*baking christmas cooking
*christmas ornaments- every year my mom would get us and ornament the desplayed what we did or accomplished that year. For example in 2003 I graduated from high school so my mom gave me a grauation ornament that year.
*cookies for santa
*letters to santa
*christmas music
*christmas movies
*12 Days of Christmas

Our little apartment

I thought I would add pictures of our place so everyone could see the ghetto place that we live in...so...here it is
Our cute little bedroom with the comforter set my mom and grandma bought us!
Yes I let Mike hang the bear in our room...
Our living room, which is actually pretty big! Most of the furniture is thanks
to our great friend Krystale

The kitchen...Mike is so proud be bought the table chairs for $6
And...the bathroom!

Thanksgiving Time...

Alright so I know it's been a while but sometimes I get lazy and there is no way in the world that Mike would blog anything so its up to me to catch everyone up on our lives. So for thanksgiving Mike and I spent our vacation with his family up in Star Valley It turned out to be really fun and we watched A LOT of movies, which I have learned is something the Lainharts have in common, they all love to watch movies. I would have to say the highlight of our trip was that Mike finally took me horse back riding! And when I say finally I mean finally, back when we were dating Mike promised me that he would take me but never did so I just dropped it thinking that he never really would take me, but he came through and took me and we had a blast.

This is me with my cute little horse!

Mike and I trotting down the street...

So overall thanksgiving was a success. Although I missed my family so much I had a lot of fun with his family!

A little update....

It's been awhile since I have updated the world on our lives so here you go... Mike started working a different shift this week and hopefully for a long time. He works from noon to 9pm now which is wonderful considering he used to work for 5pm to 2am. It will be nice to have him home at night now. So our computer died and I lost everything! And I mean everything all our pictures, music, and every document I had from college and anything else that was on our computer. It cost us a pretty penny to get a new hard drive but it was worth is because I can not survive without my laptop.

Also I got the most ridiculous ticket of my whole entire life and was threatened to be "taken to jail" for doing nothing might I add. Trust me its a very long story so if you want to know the details just ask. All I have to say is that we are not paying for the ticket and are for sure taking it to court.

I am happy to announce that Mike and I will once again be an aunt and uncle. Mike became an uncle for the first time to my niece Emily when we got married, but we are both looking forward to having another beautiful niece. Yep Sarah is having a little girl! Congrats to you both!

So that's pretty much the update for now...Love you all!

Shot a gun...

Mike has been bugging me forever to let him take me out to shoot the 22 so today I agreed that if we got shot guns then he would have to go to the haunted house with me this weekend, therefore today I shot my very first gun...We put a few bottles and some clay things up on a ridge and shot at them and naturally I was horrible. Mike hit about every shot while I hit well...nothing! This did not make me happy because I have issues with not being good at everything so I just got pissed off and was determined to hit something but never did, so I think I let Mike talk me into going again. Actually it was pretty fun and I would love to go again but I dont think I'll be becoming a pro hunter anything soon!

FIRE!

OK OK I know that normally people don't really start fires in their apartment but it happened to me and Mike tonight! I was cooking dinner for Mike when he was on his way home for his lunch break and I realized that the soup that I was cooking on the stove wasn't cooking cause for some reason the burner wasn't working. So I moved the soup over to a different burner and Mike and I were noticing a lot of smoke coming from the burner the soup was on, but we just didn't pay any attention to it. The about 2 seconds later I look back and the the burner is full on in flames so I stated screaming FIRE FIRE and Mike took the soup off and blew the fire out but it was pretty freaking funny. I thought things like that only happened in movies but I guess I was wrong..hahaha

WE'RE MARRIED!!!!!

It came as fast as it went and now...WE'RE MARRIED! The wedding was beautiful and perfect and we loved every minute of it. I was told that the few days before I was acting like a little bridezilla so to all those that endured my wrath thanks for all the love and support. The ceremony was beautiful and of course I cried like a baby and you would be surprised to know that Mike also cried and it was so cute, but I hope he doesn't kill me for saying that. Since the wedding has ended I still feel like we haven't really had much of a chance to breathe. We are still pretty busy trying to get our lives in order and I hope it starts to clam down soon. I love Mike so much and I am happier than I have ever been. I married into a wonderful family and I am so excited to be part of it. Here are a few pictures that our photographers took but if you want to see more go to addictivecolor.blogspot.com ....

ONE MORE WEEK...we are both getting really excited but we still have a lot to do. I am just mostly grateful to my family for all their support and love throughout the wedding planning. They have shown how much they love and care for me and it really means a lot to both me and Mike. I also am thankful for my new family they have welcomed me into their lives without any hesitation and that means a lot to me. Mikes mom and sister have been so great and so supportive and it just shows how important family is. Lately I have been forced to think a lot about the judgments of others and how bad they can hurt a person. Deciding to move the wedding forward and change the location was not an easy decision, but that is he decision that Mike and I made together and we believe that is the right choice for us at this time. Although some people think they know what is best for us, but to all those people...we are happy, I have never been more happy in my life. Yes, we both know it will be a long hard road but we are prepared and we are smart people and we are just trying to do our best. Throughout most of my life I have always lived but the theory that I would never judge another person based on the choices that they made in their life. I might not agree with the choices that my friends and family always make, but I love them no matter what because it isn't and never will be my place to judge a person for their choices. And thats what makes the gospel so cool...Jesus Christ gave us the opportunity and blessing to be able to repent and what a wonderful blessing that is. Life is hard and people make mistakes but there is a way to make things right and that knowledge is what i hold closest to my heart. Thank you to those people that have stood by our sides through it all we appreciate all you do for us....

ONE MONTH LEFT!!!

Today we officially have only one month left til we get married...SCARY!!! Just kidding..we are both really excited! So we are back from California and things went really well. I think the family all likes Mike and we had a great time. We didn't take any pictures while we were there because we are gay...(sorry Sarah) Now that we are back we have both been really busy trying to move Mike into our news apartment. Grandma gave us money to buy furniture so we've been buying a lot of cute stuff to go in our apartment and we love it. The apartment is huge and I will put pictures up as soon as I take some. My mom and my sister are coming up to Idaho today because my little sister starts college at BYU-I on Monday. We are going to help move all her stuff in and then do wedding stuff all weekend...FUN! Anyways that is the update for now...love to everyone!

engagement pictures in STAR VALLEY!

Alright so we had a very eventful weekend in Star Valley we played with our family and puppies, took engagement pictures, made wedding announcements, and registered for our wedding gifts. All in all things have gotten really stressful over the past few days. I think sadly Mike and I have come to the point where we don't really care about anything other than actually getting married...but i guess we will continue the planning any how. My amazing sister in law to be Sarah come up from Utah to take our pictures and they turned out pretty good, although Mike and I were getting pretty bored by the end of it all. Check out my facebook to see all the pictures. Well we are leaving for California tomorrow and we are both really excited but I think Mike is getting more and more nervous to meet my parents. I just hope they love him as much as I do. So we are off to California tomorrow in hopes to return with many good memories, tan bodies, and maybe less drama! Until then....

Another one bites the dust...

Alright so those that know me know that I am completely accident prone and worst of all I always break or sprane my ankles so this will not surprise you. Last night I was at the gym coaching and I stepped of the mat wrong and rolled my ankle really bad...it automatically swelled up and started bruising so amazing friend Krystale took me to the doctor and he said I might have fractured it...of course! So I am sitting around with a big fat boot on my ankle and crutches to walk with cause apparently I never learned how to walk correctly.

A New Life

Well I am caving a starting a blog like everyone else cause I want to be part of the in crowd. In about 5 weeks or so Mike and I will be starting our new life together as the Lainhart family. We moved our wedding up to Oct. 4th and we are both really excited but very stressed. We will be getting married at the Double Eagle Resort and Spa that my Grandma owns in June Lake, CA. Its going to be a really small intimate wedding with just family and really close friends. If anyone has any questions about why we moved the wedding up you can feel free to ask me but remember we are both so happy and love each other very much. Stay tuned for more wedding info.
