a waxy mess

This is what happens when...Your name is Jessica Lainhart

and you are CLUMSY

It doesn't look like much but what the picture doesn't tell you is that
the purple mess spilled all over my kitchen floor
is actually purple wax from a scented wax plate. Because my name is Jessica
Lainhart and I am clumsy this is what happened....
I was trying to clean my kitchen so I was taking all the random stuff of the counter top.
I grabbed my purse off the counter and turned around to put it away,
but as I turned I knocked the whole wax plate
on the floor braking the plate and splattering hot wax everywhere
including all over myself. Mike and I spent at least a 30mins scraping
the wax of the floor with spatulas and butter knifes and it is still not all gone. Needless
to say it was a disaster and I hope it never happens again.

update

Well nothing much has changed since the last time I posted. Mike and I are still really busy and have a hard time finding time to spend with each other. We are getting really excited to go to Hawaii with Mikes family in March and are busy making plan of what we want to do while we are there. I am a little nervous about taking Logan to Hawaii because it will be our first vacation with a baby so it is going to be different. Logan is now 5 months old and he is cuter than ever. We just love watching him grow and learn new things. He has recently been rolling over in both direction whenever he doesn't feel like being lazy. He sleep from about 8:30pm to 6:30am every night with out waking up which is WONDERFUL. He has learned how to jump in his bouncy seat which is extremely cute and has also started to giggle. I just cant get enough of him and I am so thankful for the blessing he is to our family. Here are some recent pictures of our precious baby....

Lainharts Lately

Christmas 09: For Logan's first Christmas we spent time with both the Lainharts and the Van Dusens. First we went up to Star Valley and spent a few days with Mikes family. It was fun having everyone around and being able to enjoy the holidays with family. We spent Christmas eve and Christmas Day with them because we were with my family last year. After a few days with the Lainharts we went to June Lake, California to spend time with my side of the family. We went snowboarding, played games, and ate lots of food!

New Years: We were still in June Lake on New years eve and New years day. We were pretty much lame and did not do anything on new years eve. In fact, I went to bed and 10:30 and Mike stayed up to the watch the ball drop then went to bed. So it wasn't too exciting.

Mike: Mike just started his first semester at BYU-Idaho and he seems to like it a lot. He is having a hard time balancing family, school, and working full time at lowes. It is hard for me and Logan because we feel like we never get to see him, but he is working very hard to support us and we love him so much for all his hard work.

Me: I am still working at the gym and I really do love having a job. Leaving Logan when I have to go to work is a little bitter sweet because I want to be with him all the time but sometimes I have to take a break. The gymnastics competitve season just started so I will be traveling every weekend to go to gymanstics meets. Because I will be traveling so much I decided to start giving Logan formula so that while I am gone someone else could feed him. It seems to be going pretty good.

Logan: Logan is the sweetest baby anyone cold ask for! He is happy and smiley most of the time. He loves to eat and wants to eat all the time! Which probably explains why he is so chunky. He just had his 4 month check up and he weighs 15lbs and measures 26in tall. He is sleeping through the night every night and I love it! We love him so much and couldn't ask for a better baby!!!

Well its been a while so I will start at....

Thanksgiving:

This year we spent thanksgiving with Mikes family in Star Valley. It was Logans first thanksgiving but I dont think he really cared. Mike and I are so grateful this year to have oiur beautiful little baby and to be surrounded by family that loves us. It was a good thanksgiving this year and we ate a lot of great food.

Logan:

He has been smiling a lot more, it is so cute to watch him stare at me and smile all day. He has rolled over a few times but with a little help. He is getting really really chunky and it is so adorable. I cant help but kiss and love on him all day long. He has been sleeping in his crib in the other room for almost 3 weeks now and I love it. It seems like he sleeps a lot better and so do I because I cant here ever peep he makes. He is on a pretty good sleeping schedule. He goes to bed everynight at 10pm then wakes up at aroung 4am and then again at 8am which I love because it has gotten a lot better. I just cant wait til he skips the 4 o clock one and sleeps mostly through the night, but for now I am happy.

Mike and I:

Mike is still working hard at Lowes and I am still coaching gymnastics. My team had their first meet in Boise and is went pretty well. We have mostly finished all our Christmas shopping Mike has slowly been opening all his presents so I am afarid that he is going to have nothing to open on Chirstmas. We will be spending Christmas eve and Christmas day with Mikes family and then we will be heading to California on the 28th to spend sometime with my family. we are both really excited about Logans first christmas but we think that next year will be more fun for him.

My Daddy and Me

Logan loves his daddy. It is so amazing to see how much Mike loves his little boy. He really has become a great father. Logan loves spending time with him and always smiles when Mike talks to him. Here are some cute pictures of them together...
